CCA Kinder 4 Questions & Answers
Important Questions and Answers regarding our CCA Kinder 4 program:
Question: How old must my child be to attend CCA Kinder 4?
Answer: A student must be 4 years old by August 15th of the academic school year to be eligible for the Kinder 4 Program at Cooper Christian Academy.
Question: What does the school calendar/days look like for the Kinder 4 program?
Answer: Our School Year: Cooper Christian Academy’s Kinder 4 program calendar will run identically to our K-8 school calendar. Kinder 4 will take all the same days off and early release days as our K-8 Academy does. So, a Kinder 4 program year will run from the beginning of August through the end of May each year.
Question: Will CCA Kinder 4 have a summer program/schedule?
Answer: CCA will have NO summer Kinder 4 program.
Question: What are the school hours for the Kinder 4 program?
Answer: Kinder 4 School Hours: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm, on days that CCA is in session. (Classes begin at
8:00 am and end at 3:00 pm). Naptime will be provided in the afternoons.
Question: Will lunch be provided for my child?
Answer: CCA will not have a functioning kitchen at this time. Lunch will NOT be provided for students.
All students will need to bring their lunch to school. CCA does offer a “Hot Lunch Meal Deal”
option on Tuesday (Chick-fil-a) and Thursday (pizza) for $5.00 per meal. Meal Deal includes: entrée, chips, dessert, and water.
Question: Will the school provide snacks for my child in the Kinder 4 program?
Answer: Yes, CCA Kinder 4 will provide two snacks a day for each child.
Question: What makes the CCA Kinder 4 program exceptional?
Answer: CCA Kinder 4 program will be a biblically integrated, academically focused program to prepare our students for success in Kindergarten and beyond.
Question: What is the path into CCA Kindergarten? How does Kinder 4 feed into the rest of the elementary years?
Answer: The Kinder 4 program serves as the bridge between preschool and formal schooling. During this year, students build essential early literacy, math, and social skills while learning what it means to be part of a classroom community. The focus is on:
Question: What are the expectations for my child and their bathroom needs?
Answer: All students must be potty-trained and able to tend to their own bathroom needs
Question: What communication tools are used for parents in the early years (progress reports,
conferences, readiness checklists)?
Answer: CCA Kinder 4 communication will include progress reports, parent/teacher conferences,
readiness checklists, and skills-based checklists. We also use formal communication such as personal conversations, GradeLink (Student Information System), phone calls, and emails.
Question: Do Kinder 4 students wear a uniform?
Answer: Yes, CCA Kinder 4 will wear a “Logo Polo shirt”. Those shirts can be purchased through our
