CCA Kinder 4 Admissions Process
Please find below the process for admissions into the Kinder 4 program at Cooper Christian Academy.
Admission Criteria:
To fulfill the school’s mission and vision, CCA considers the following:
- At least one parent/guardian must genuinely acknowledge a relationship with Jesus Christ during the process of a family interview.
- At least one parent/guardian must annually sign the Cooper Christian Academy Statement of Spiritual Beliefs, acknowledging that it is the standard of instruction of CCA. It is also understood that all instruction is based on the Bible and CCA philosophy and objectives.
- No student will be admitted who:
- Has emotional or disciplinary problems that cannot be met within CCA’s Kinder 4 program;
- Has a physical handicap or learning disability for which our program is not staffed.
- Has been expelled/suspended from another pre-school/daycare.
Admissions Process
- If you are interested in our Kinder 4 program, you can begin by visiting the school, taking a tour, and meeting the staff.
- You then submit an application and pay the non-refundable $100 application fee.
- A family interview with the CCA Head of School is required so the school and family can be sure of alignment spiritually, academically, and culturally.
- If the child is accepted, parents will be notified by the Head of School or Admissions Coordinator, and enrollment materials (birth certificate, immunizations, previous records if applicable) are collected along with the non-refundable $250 enrollment fee (which holds your child’s spot in the Kinder 4 classroom).
Readiness & Transition Considerations
- While CCA does not publicly list every readiness criterion for Kinder 4 in rich detail on their site, the Kinder 4 Director will meet with the child in the spring to evaluate readiness in age, social/emotional skills, and academic proficiency.
- Parents should engage with the school early (tour, ask about readiness checklist) so their child is prepared for Kindergarten proper.
Kinder 4 / Early Entry Feed-In
- CCA’s “Kinder 4” acts as a feeder program into Kindergarten.
- Because the school is building the elementary program grade-by-grade (adding a grade each year) up through 8th The Kinder 4 program provides a smooth transition utilizing the same campus, same curriculum setting, and same Christian culture.
Progression into Elementary Years
- After Kindergarten, a child proceeds to 1st grade, then 2nd grade, and so on. CCA currently offers K–5 (for 2026-27) and will add 6th, 7th, etc., each year.
- The goals: to build a foundation in the younger years (Kinder 4–Kindergarten), then move upward into more advanced work, all within the same school environment and Christian philosophy.
