Fine Arts

At Cooper Christian Academy we offer a robust Fine Arts program for our elementary students.  The students are able to enjoy Art, Music, and Physical Education.  Art is offered One day a week for 40 minutes.  Music is offered Two days a week for 40 minutes each class.  Physical Education is offered Two days a week for 40 minutes each class.

 

Art Program for Cooper Christian Academy

 

Overview:  the Art program at CCA is designed to nurture creativity, self-expression, and spiritual growth in young learners.  Through various artistic mediums, students explore their talents while integrating biblical principles and values.

 

Curriculum:  Our curriculum includes painting, drawing and mixed media, allowing student to experiment with different techniques and materials.  Each project is thoughtfully aligned with scriptural themes, encouraging students to reflect on their faith and the beauty of creation.

 

Goals:

  • Creativity: Foster innovative thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on art experiences.
  • Spiritual Growth: Encourage students to connect their artistic expressions with their faith, exploring themes of hope, love, and gratitude.

Music Program at Cooper Christian Academy

 

Overview:  Our Music Program at CCA is dedicated to fostering a love for music while integrating faith-based values.  Through a variety of musical experiences, students learn to express themselves creatively and develop a deeper appreciation for the role of music in worship and community.

 

Curriculum:  Students engage in singing hymns, learning contemporary Christian songs, and participating in handbells, boom-whackers, and choral ensembles.  Music appreciation introduces them to the rich history of sacred music, highlighting its significance in worship.

 

 

Goals:

  • Musical Skills: Equip students with foundational music skills, including rhythm, melody, and harmony.
  • Spiritual Connection: Help students experience and express their faith through music, understanding its role in worship and fellowship.
  • Community Building: Foster collaboration and teamwork through group performances, encouraging student to support one another and share their talents with the school and local community.

 

Outcomes:  Students will develop their musical abilities and cultivate a sense of confidence and joy in sharing their gifts.  The program aims to inspire a lifelong love of music and its power to connect hearts to God.

Physical Education Program at Cooper Christian Academy

 

Overview:  The Physical Education (PE) Program at CCA promotes holistic development through physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle choices.  Our goal is to instill a love for movement while integrating biblical principles that emphasize the importance of caring for our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit.

 

Curriculum:  The PE Curriculum includes a variety of activities such as team sports, individual fitness, and recreational games.  Students participate in activities that enhance their physical skills, coordination and endurance, while also learning the importance of sportsmanship, cooperation, and respect for others.

 

Goals:

  • Physical Fitness: Encourages lifelong habits of physical activity to promote health and well-being.
  • Character Development: Teach values such as teamwork, perseverance, and fair play, aligning with Christian teachings about loving and respecting one another.
  • Spiritual Growth: Use physical activity as a means to reflect on God’s creation and the joy of movement, fostering an appreciation for the bodies God has given us.

 

Outcomes:  Students will develop essential motor skills and an understanding of fitness principles, while cultivating positive attitudes toward health and exercise.  The program aims to empower student to lead active, balanced lives in accordance with their faith.
