Philosophy of Education

The purpose of Cooper Christian Academy is to provide a sound academic education integrated with the Christian view of God and the world based on the authoritative and inerrant Word of God.

Functioning as an extension of the Christian home, the school supports parents and guardians who seek to obey the biblical instruction that gives them ultimate responsibility for the education of their children (Deut. 6:7-8). The school offers curriculum rooted in a God-centered view of life. This view holds that God’s truth is the standard for all truth. The curriculum, taught by a qualified Christian faculty, allows parents or guardians to provide their children with academic instruction consistent with the Christ-centered teaching received at home and at church.

A basic responsibility of Christian parents or guardians is to “train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). The goal of CCA is to facilitate the development of a child academically, physically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually. The school employs a faculty and leaders who serve as role models in their Christian walk and who are maturing in both their professional life and their Christian faith.
